The confidence-tag standard
Every figure carries one of three tags: [A] verified against a primary source; [B] an organisation's own claim, reported as such; [C] an estimate, including our own arithmetic. An estimate never becomes a fact by repetition.
The announced-to-deployed discount
Headline investment figures are read at 20–40% of face value. A 60–80% announced-to-deployed discount is applied to every headline figure and stated wherever it is used. The method is published on the Methods page.
